US has deepened its role in the conflict in Yemen.

US military aircrafts will refill the Arab countries' air planes carrying out strikes in Yemen.

According to The Wall Street Journal, this way the US deepens its role in the conflict in Yemen.

American planes, monitoring the region, also provide information to Saudi Arabia in order to minimize civilian casualties, say officials.

According to the newspaper, in the evening of Thursday, April 2, militants seized most of Aden, the second largest city in Yemen, even though Saudi Arabia had been conducting the military operation against them for more than a week.

Saudi coalition, backed by US intelligence and logistical support, blocked ports and airspace in Yemen.

UN Deputy Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs Valerie Amos announced that the military conflict in Yemen, had already led to 519 people been killed and about 1,700 wounded. Tens of thousands of people were forced to flee their homes.

The active phase of the civil conflict in Yemen began in 2014. In March 2015, a coalition of Arab states began an armed operation against the Houthi rebels in Yemen.
