US air strikes destroy more than 1000 militants in Syria

In August, the US Air Force and allies began pinpoint air strikes on militants' positions to stop the advance of the Islamists.

The US has made a significant progress in the fight against terrorism.
The air strikes of the US Air Force and the coalition against the "ISIS" insurgents' positions in Syria have led to 1,000 deaths among the militants of the terrorist organization.

This information was reported by Al Arabiya on its Twitter account on 23, December 2014.

The United States and its allies began to perform the pinpoint air strikes on "ISIS" terrorists in early August to stop the advance of the Islamists.

"ISIS" – is the Islamist terrorist group, which announced the creation of a Sunni state in Syria, Libya and Iraq as its aim. In 2013, the "ISIS" militants initiated the war, stepping on the side of anti-government forces in Syria. In summer, 2014 the militants launched a broad offensive in Iraq, which ended by capturing several towns and approaching to Baghdad. On 30, June 2014, "ISIS" announced the creation of the "Islamic Caliphate" on the territories it captured.
