Three-quarters of Russians think "Maidan" not to take place in Russia

Russians doubt “Maidan” will happen in their country
Three-quarters of Russian residents (76%) believe that protests like "Euromaidan" are in principle impossible in Russia, says a survey conducted by VTsIOM.

This figure stayed at almost last year's indicator: 75% of respondents were convinced in the impossibility of "Maidan" in Russian in February, 2014.

Thus, 15% of Russians admit the possibility Maidan in Russia.

According to sociologists, 94% of respondents said they would not want a repetition of Ukrainian "Maidan."

It is worthy to note that similar surveys also gave very small percentage of those ready to protest because of foreign policy issues, such as joining the EU, NATO or the Customs Union in Ukraine in summer 2013.

VTsIOM poll was conducted on February 21-22, 2015. 1,600 people in 132 towns of 46 Russian regions were polled. The statistical error did not exceed 3.5%
