Six NATO warships enter Black Sea for exercises

The NATO ships will return to the Mediterranean Sea at the end of the month
Six NATO warships enter the waters of the Black Sea amid the crisis in Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the organization on Wednesday, December 4.

The ships will conduct exercises, practicing methods of defense against torpedo attacks and attacks from the air.

According to NATO press service, the group consists of the flagship USS Vicksburg (USA), HMCS Fredericton (Canada), TCG Turgutreis (Turkey), FGS Spessart (Germany), ITS Aliseo (Italy) and ROS Regina Maria (Romania).

The ships will return to the Mediterranean Sea at the end of this month to resume patrols.

According to NATO, the exercises correspond to all international conventions.

The Alliance conducted similar maneuvers in the Black Sea Alliance last year after Russia's annexation of the Crimea.
