Russian President Vladimir Putin has suggested to German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Francois Hollande a roadmap for the establishment of "new Transnistria" in Ukraine.

The New York Times, citing informed western diplomat, reports about this. According to the source, angered by Putin's proposal, "this is not a peace plan."

"This is a roadmap to a new "Transnistria or Abkhazia in Ukraine. It is a cynical attempt to get out of all the commitments made in Minsk," – cites the publication words of the diplomat on the condition of anonymity.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry spokesman Alexander Lukashevich said that the issue of sending peacekeeping troops would be discussed at the meeting of the leaders of Russia, France and Germany, which is due on Friday.

 At the same time, the press service of the German Chancellor announced that the 12-points Minsk agreement will the basis for talks with Putin.

US Secretary of State John Kerry earlier confirmed that French President Francois Hollande and German Chancellor Angela Merkel received propositions from Russian President Vladimir Putin on Ukraine and prepared their own.
