Poroshenko: Ukraine knows what terrorism is

President of Ukraine expressed his condolences to the French people in connection with the terrorist attacks.

Poroshenko has expressed solidarity and unity with France in the fight against terrorism.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko made a note in the book of condolences at the French Embassy, expressing his deep sympathy and support to the Ambassador of France to Ukraine Alain Remy, reports the press service of the Ukraine's president.

Poroshenko said that Ukraine feels deep sorrow over the tragic events, as well as solidarity and unity with France in the fight against terrorism.

"Ukraine knows what the fight against terrorism is" – commented President Poroshenko. "In particular, I would like to mention the explosion of café in Kharkov, attack on volunteers' office in Odessa as well as  terrorist attacks that take place daily in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblast'," – concluded the President's statement.

On Friday, January 9, the terrorists broke into the supermarket of kosher products in the French capital and seized hostages there.

The operation on neutralizing Amedy Coulibaly is taking place simultaneously with the other anti-terror operation. The Kouachi brothers are blocked in one of the houses in Paris suburb.

12 people have been killed, 11 wounded as a result of the attack on the French newspaper Charlie Hebdo. French police have released photos of the suspects, 7 people have been already arrested.
