Mobilization in Ukraine: more than half of recruits are not fit for military service

Less than half of recruits in Ukraine have been found fit for military service
More than half of Ukrainians, who had a health commission, have been found unfit for mobilization.

This has been announced by the Chairman of the Rada' Health Committee, Olga Bogomolets, referring to the official data of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

According to the press service of "Petro Poroshenko Block," according to the documents provided in response to a request by Olga Bogomolets, 52, 962 out of 117,044 people have passed the medical commission during the fourth wave of mobilization.

"Among the diseases, which did not allow potential soldiers to be mobilized, were mental illness – 32%, cardiovascular diseases – 31.1%, and diseases of the nervous system – 22.7%. This is followed by injuries and wounds – 10% and diseases of the digestive system – 4.2%," – reports the MP.

Olga Bogomolets stresses that this level of mental illness causes concern and requires scrutiny and control. In particular, the issue of possible abuses during the health commission should be raised.

Earlier, a demobilization of soldiers serving one year started on March 18.
