Militants fire OSCE mission in the area of Shyrokine

The observers managed to negotiate with the militants and cross the checkpoint.

The militants of the so-called "DPR" opened warning fire on the OSCE mission in the area Shyrokine.

"The mission was stopped at a checkpoint on April 7. When the OSCE representatives approached the checkpoint, one of the "DPR" members immediately opened warning fire from heavy machine gun," – says the OSCE's report.

Nevertheless, the observers continued their dialogue with one of the fighters, which resulted in their trucks been searched and allowed to cross the checkpoint.

Earlier, the militants did not let the OSCE mission to Gorlivka. On March 18, pro-Russian fighters from other units of the so-called "DPR" threatened to kill OSCE representatives.
