IS: Militants deliberately violate ceasefire, situation deteriorates in ATO area

The situation in the ATO area remains tense, while there are preconditions for further deterioration, reports the "Information Resistance" group on Wednesday, April 8.

"There were nearly 40 attacks on Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions and settlements by the Russian-terrorist forces. Also, in nearly six cases, the use of armored vehicles was recorded during the attacks," – writes the coordinator of the "Information Resistance" group, Dmytro Tymchuk.

As the statement emphasizes, the terrorists use mortars (including "withdrawn" 120-mm mortars), AFVs and artillery (including D-30 howitzers and 2S1"Gvozdika," which suggests a "gross violation of the terms of the ceasefire by the Russian-terrorist formations and not isolated incidents caused by "indiscipline" militants, but a conscious and deliberate actions of "DPR" and "LPR."

"The most difficult situation is observed on Donetsk and Lugansk directions, where most of the intense attacks are recorded," – says the statement.

Thus, in the morning of April 7, the positions of the Ukrainian troops in Opytne were shelled from 120-mm mortars, then followed the attack.

The militants also attacked the positions of Ukrainian troops in the area of ​​ Novotoshkovka as well as on Mariupol direction. The positions of Ukrainian troops were also shelled in the area of Avdiyivka and on Artemivsk direction.

The ATO HQ reports that the Ukrainian troops' positions were fired 23 times last night. The most intensive fighting is observed on Donetsk direction. The situation remains relatively calm on Lugansk directions, according to the statement.
