The official unemployment does not include millions of unemployed
This has been reported by the head of the Mandatory State Unemployment Insurance Fund, Sergiy Kondriuk.
"There are nearly 5 million people in Ukraine who actually do not have a permanent job and may at any time either contact the employment service, or go to work, or join gangs," – said Kondriuk.
He also noted that the situation is complicated by many factors, especially by economic and political tension. The situation is not improved by the fact that even after receiving the official unemployed status, citizens do not have an adequate level of financial support.
According to the State Statistics Service, there were 523,000 unemployed in Ukraine in February. The average amount of aid paid was UAH 1,206.Source: UNIAN
